The daily recitation of the prayer will be led in rotation by sangha members.
Following his teachings on the King of Aspiration Prayers, the Aspiration Prayer for Excellent Noble Conduct, Drupon Rinpoche has expressed his wish that the sangha begin a daily recitation of this profound prayer, and he has said that with practice its meaning will integrate with the mind-stream. Aspiration prayers are essential to actualizing the path and are practiced from the very beginning of the path to enlightenment to the very moment of attaining Buddhahood. The benefits of aspiration prayer are endless. They are a profound method - or an altruistic wish - to attain the qualities of buddhas and bodhisattvas, clear away obstacles, and ripen oneself and others on the path. As it states in the Mahāyānasūtrālaṃkāra:
"Intention associated with striving
and impelled by wisdom—
the aspiration prayers of the intelligent
are unequaled on all bhūmis.
They are to be understood as being causes
and results accomplished through the mind.
Their functionality is to bring about future goals,
because they are successful merely through the mind."
