⏳Let Them, Let Me: Breaking Codependence and Building Better Boundaries — Week 2
Details
What happens when we stop asking, “How do I get them to change?” and begin asking, “What will I choose?”
Inspired by Mel Robbins’ book The Let Them Theory, this three-week Relationship Support series explores how releasing our attempts to control other people can help us break codependent patterns, establish healthier boundaries, and reclaim our own choices.
“Let Them” allows other people to have their opinions, feelings, reactions, and decisions. “Let Me” returns our attention to what belongs to us: our responses, values, needs, limits, and actions.
This is not about becoming indifferent or walking away from every uncomfortable relationship. It is about caring without taking over, supporting without rescuing, and allowing other adults to be responsible for their own choices and consequences.

This Week's Focus - WEEK 2
Let Me—Reclaiming Your Choices, Energy, and Life
We shift the focus from “How do I get them to change?” to “What will I choose?” We explore personal responsibility, self-trust, and the difference between supporting someone and taking responsibility for their life.
---------------------------------
You do not need to have read The Let Them Theory or attended the previous sessions to participate. We’ll briefly review the central framework before moving into the evening’s topic.
This is not a traditional book club. We’re using the ideas as a starting point for exploring codependence, control, boundaries, personal responsibility, and healthier relationships.

How We Learn Together
Each session is designed to help you understand the concepts, connect them to your own experiences, and leave with practical ideas you can apply in your relationships.
- Easy-to-understand teaching with relatable, real-life examples
- Video clips that bring key concepts to life
- Reflection exercises to connect the material to your own experiences
- Group discussion and practical ideas to strengthen your relationships
