Public Samhain Ritual

Details

Samhain is the festival of the final harvest. The days shorten, winter nears, and the dark time of the year is upon us. The veil is thin at this time of the year, and we can commune better with our beloved ancestors and other departed spirits. Join Paumanok Island Protogrove as we celebrate Samhain as a community!

All people of good will are welcome! Family participation is encouraged.

We will meet for a pre-ritual briefing at 1:00 pm. The rite itself will begin promptly at 1:30 pm.

Fruits and dessert items may be brought to share with other participants during a short fellowship time at the conclusion of the rite.

Please feel free to bring personal offerings for the ancestors, nature spirits, and deities. You may also bring a photo or other small item that honors one of your ancestors during the rite. We will also provide materials for offering. We will be in a public park, so if you bring alcoholic beverages as offerings, please remember to put them in a nondescript container.

If you have any questions please contact us! Information about ADF may be found at www.adf.org
