The 4200 Cedar/ Hiawatha Drum and Dance

Details

The 4200 Cedar – Lake Hiawatha Drum and Dance has been facilitating and celebrating rhythms in South Minneapolis for nearly 25 years in its same location on or near Lake Hiawatha in south Minneapolis. Its warm weather home is behind the Lake Hiawatha park building at 28th Avenue and 44th Street, on a beautiful patio overlooking the lakeshore. The cold weather home is the event center at 4200 Cedar Avenue, about eight blocks west, on the corner of Cedar Avenue and 42nd Street. All ability levels are welcome as well as dancers! No matter the night, there will be a magnificent show of lights (or flames) to accompany the drumming. Start time is officially 7:30 PM on the first Saturday of the month; end time is officially 10:00 PM. See the comments section below for updates on the current month’s jam! Questions? Call the coordinator eTimothy at 612-245-9155. Hope to see you there!
