🌎New Moon Drum Circle In collaboration with Endorphin Drip Hiking Club Meetup🪘
Details
Hello everyone! My name is Ernesto, I have recently joined your group in collaboration with Alder with Drumming and Healing In Oneness and the one I am a part of, ‘Endorphin Drip Hiking Club’ (EDHC). It is my belief that one can never have too many friends and that everything is more enjoyable with companions!
EDHC is all about fostering healthy relationships with our own selves and our communities by experiencing a variety of activities. I’m very excited to say that one of our more recent additions to our roster of events has been drumming circles! It is something I enjoyed in my youth that I wish to bring to my present to share with those around me.
Among the many different ways drum circles benefit us (encourages neural plasticity, engages multiple senses and abilities simultaneously which can help our minds and bodies in many ways, forms strong social networks), it most certainly involves endorphin release!
For those rusty on what that means; Endorphins are our bodies natural feel good hormones that benefit us greatly. The release of them can be encouraged by a multitude of scenarios, from petting an animal, laughing over something funny, drumming or even as a “runners high.” Whenever we are doing what makes us smile, sing, dance and cheer (all good merriment!) we are releasing these hormones that have a plethora of benefits to our bodies and minds. In that mindset….
Join me this time for a new and exciting experience for our first ever MeetUp Duet with the Endorphin Drip Hiking Club!!
**Remember:
1: Be prepared to walk from the place you park to where we will be hanging out. (We will be meeting at Lower Macleay Park located in the NW hills of Portland. We will be sitting adjacent to the parking circle located at the end of NW Upshur St. If it rains we will move under covered area.) **Parking is limited nearby so please come early enough to allow time to find a parking spot.
2: Bring your drums percussion instruments to use yourself or to share.🪇 Some extra instruments will be provided for you to use. Feel free to use your voice for singing, chanting and toning. You are encouraged to move your bodies to the rhythms. All abilities are welcome.
3: Since this is a Community Drum Circle, Please welcome anyone to join us during our jam session.
4: Weather appropriate clothing since we will be drumming outside in the unpredictable Fall weather 🥾
5: A blanket (with a tarp for the wet ground) or stool or chair 🪑
6: A positive attitude, sense of wonder and wish to be a part of a greater community of truly amazing people. 🤘🏽

As our usual Alder accepts donations if you want to give toward gas and instruments (usually between $5-$10) No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Some people prefer to donate with Venmo Kim-McDonald-44 .
Let's hope for great weather and we look forward to drumming in the park with all of you amazing fun fellow earth travelers !!
