SCROLL DOWN FOR NOT-AT-ALL-REQUIRED-READING

We'll be back at the thankfully reopened College Inn. Look for us in the back.

This is an every-other-Saturday-night get-together for people who want to have inappropriately serious conversations with strangers. All are welcome and no a priori knowledge of philosophy or anything else is required or expected. There are no fixed topics and no rules other than the categorical imperative to not be assholes to one another.

Come meet cranks, fanatics, weirdos and friendly people who actually know a lot about philosophy and other stuff. Melt a hole in the dreaded Seattle Freeze with the power of Big Talk (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUbjpwyesk0).

NOT-AT-ALL-REQUIRED READING:
Hear ye, hear ye! There's a new Peli Grietzer essay out! It's about "virtue-ethics, rationality, AI, and decision-theory" and it's not behind a paywall. I'm a big fan of his 2017 dissertation "Theory of Vibe" (which argued, essentially, that literature works like an autoencoder, and which now seems astonishingly prescient here in the age of AI) so I'm very excited to dig into this new one with anyone else who's interested to.
