The Chicago Drupal Meet Up Group is proud to join forces with the CMS Expo. A special event has been organized for user groups and is free and open to the public. Not only will it be a great time to socialize and become a part of CMS Expo, but some Drupal rock stars might be in attendance. Come by and say hello. This year we will be hanging out in the hotel actually inside CMS Expo presentation rooms from 8:00 till 9:30 pm.
Many members may remember last year's CMS Expo user group meetup. This year we will have presentations and will be more similar to our monthly meetings. Plus other user groups will around to check out. Pictures from last year - https://www.meetup.com/drupal-1/photos/918396/
Estimated Agenda:
8:00 - Arrive, socialize, introductions
8:10 - Panel: Drupal in 1 Minute
8:20 - Presentation: Matthew Lechleider - Drupal User Groups
8:30 - Presentation: Dries Buytaert - Lessons from the road
9:00 - Questions and Answers
9:15 - Closing, socialize, wrap up
9:30 - Beer @Hotel Lobby?
Panel discussion to start is "Drupal in 1 Minute". Hoping to gather a total of 10 attendees, but mix of rock stars with new users to summarize "Drupal in 1 Minute". Since the CMS Expo will be attracting users who may have never tried Drupal, we think this could be a fun engaging discussion for all skill levels. Plus we are interested to compare a new user's opinion to an experts.
