Drupal NoVA Meetup: What's New in Configuration Management and Git for Beginners

Join us on January 15th, 7 pm at the Drupal NoVA meetup for some fun, learning, and networking at Bixal in Fairfax, VA.

Oscar Merida of PHP Architect will do a short presentation on Git:
We'll look at common Git commands and a workflow for using Git collaboratively in a team.

John Shortess from Bixal will be covering configuration management:
The configuration management system in Drupal 8 has made life easier for developers since the bad old days of Features, but challenges remain. We'll discuss some ways to manage configuration on multi-environment (local/dev/stage/prod) sites, and some improvements on the way in future Drupal 8 releases.

Our regular meetup is the third Tuesday of every month at Bixal in Fairfax.

Appetizers, beer and non-alcoholic drinks will be served.
