This presentation explores my quest to build local development environments that don't make people want to headbutt their monitors. We'll walk through the tools and strategies that made the biggest impact, showcase concrete wins and improvements, and discuss alternative approaches we've discovered from other setups. From this talk, you can expect practical takeaways you can actually implement, honest lessons learned from the journey, and hopefully a local solution that doesn’t feel like pulling teeth.
