Please join us on March 14th, 2013 for a lively and informative panel discussion entitled Starting and Running Your Own Drupal Consultancy. This discussion will explore topics including marketing, branding, operations, service delivery, and is intended to ask insightful questions about running your own Drupal business and obtain open and honest feedback. Our list of panelists all hail from the Atlanta Drupal User's Group (ADUG), and are all accomplished Drupal Entrepreneurs with great stories to tell.

Our moderator will be Mal Richards - e-Prime Marketing, Inc.

Dave Terry - Mediacurrent
Dave Terry is a Partner and Co-owner at Mediacurrent, a 30-person, Atlanta, Georgia headquartered Drupal consultancy. He makes sure everything is running smoothly behind the scenes including estimates, billing, agreements, marketing, business development, recruiting, human resources and strategic partnerships. His most important responsibility is ensuring that Mediacurrent exceeds client expectations on every project. Prior to becoming a Partner at Mediacurrent, Dave was co-founder and President of Invesearch, an Atlanta based financial staffing firm. Dave is a Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC) and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree with honors from Valdosta State University. He received numerous academic awards, and later attended graduate school at the University of Georgia. As a passionate open-source enthusiast and Drupal evangelist, Dave has been a primary organizer for ADUG and its major events since 2008.

Jim Nasr - Armedia
Jim is CEO and co-founder of Armedia, an Atlanta headquartered technology firm founded in 2002 and focused on Enterprise Content Management solutions including: business process, document, case and record management, as well as collaboration, content publishing and content migration. Armedia has provided ECM (Enterprise Content Management) strategies for numerous federal government agencies including: HUD, FBI, DOE, CDC, and more. Jim has more than twenty years of experience in the technology industry, and has led Armedia from start-up through multiple Inc 5000 growth years. Prior to co-founding Armedia in 2002, Jim worked as a Senior Technology Architect at Sapient Corporation, IBM Global Services and Aetna. Jim has co-authored three technology books (including the JavaScript Unleashed series) and speaks at numerous industry shows and conferences.

Adam Rosenkoetter - Sol Design
Since 1996, Adam Rosenkoetter has designed, built, managed and deployed some of the most complex web-based and mobile solutions for several of the world’s most respected organizations. Adam is a co-founder and the technology director at SolDesign Company and is an Atlanta native.

Gene Hammett - Core Elevation
Gene has been an entrepreneur since his middle school days of selling candy in school to support his habit. After graduating from Georgia Tech with an engineering degree, he worked for an international strategy firm and a BIG 6 consulting firm where he worked on mergers and acquisitions as well as $100mm plus IT projects. At the emergence of internet boom, Gene found himself in a leadership role with an e-commerce start up where his entrepreneurial spirit flourished. His next step was taking nine years to build his own company from the ground up to more than $5mm in sales. Today Gene works with a variety of businesses, but his focus is on digital agencies and web designers. Gene has never owned a digital agency or web design business, but absolutely loves working directly with owners and freelancers to serve them with his wealth of knowledge and unique set of skills.

Brian Danin - MindSing
Brian Danin is the founder of MindSing a growing creative firm that works mostly in Drupal. The company is based in Atlanta, GA, and is focused on: brand strategy, business consulting, effective design, film, video, and software solutions. MindSing originally started in mobile platform development, and has worked in various industries from higher education and non-profits to government and entrepreneurial start-ups. Brian is originally from Manitou Springs, Colorado, a small artistic town a few miles west of Colorado Springs. He received his BFA in Film, Video, and Design from the University of British Columbia (UBC) as well as a MBA from Georgia Tech. Concurrently, Brian leads the Digital Media Group within the Creative Strategy & Brand Management division of Georgia Tech Institute Communications. He develops various software applications and Drupal integrations that focus on video, photography, and other aspects of Georgia Tech's web presence.
