Why do we do Drupal?
To manage content.
The October 2013 Sydney meetup will be dedicated to all things content related in Drupal. There are lots of things to talk about.
Quick announcements and heads up about events on the horizon.
Lightning talk from Marji on how your browser is giving away who you are, without you knowing it.
The big picture
Murray will review some of the major content related themes which have emerged from recent Drupal cons. These include "blobs vs chunks", content management vs content marketing, the editor experience and how Drupal 8 fits into the picture.
For the love of content editors
Pam will take us through some practical ways to make sure the editors of Drupal sites have the best possible experience for creating and managing content. This includes site building techniques as well as how to get the best from the content editors.
And now for something completely different... Throughout the meetup participants will be able to collaboratively edit a "Content How To" document. We want all your tips and tricks, modules and techniques for how you manage content. We'll open up a Google Doc for you all to get creative. We'll then open the meeting up to some discussion of the document we have all produced. It will be interesting to see what emerges. Bring your laptops, tablets and ideas. Lightning talks welcome.
The meetup is organised by Pam (https://drupal.org/user/1431110) and Murray (https://drupal.org/user/595658). Drop us a line privately if you like or put your suggestions on the Call for Contributions (https://groups.drupal.org/node/325268) page.
