Design Systems Manchester Vol. 3

Details
Hot off the back of speaking at Converge conference at the end of September, we've asked Amy Hupe to come up and talk for us and chat about design systems with us all.
Big thanks to our hosts Digital Gurus for the use of their great event space!
As with previous events, one of the aspects we want to experiment with at these meet-ups is how to make it become a community, different formats we can try, and how to include you all in the events themselves.
Last time round we tried some impromptu introductions from the audience - feel free to volunteer to tell us about your DS journey or make it a show & tell and have a few minutes to walk us through your design system!
---
Amy's talk, "Systems of Harm": Design systems help us scale components and patterns across our digital products. But what happens when the solutions we're scaling are exclusionary or even harmful? In this talk, Amy explores the ways in which we inadvertently build systems of harm, and what we can do to avoid it.
A bit about our speaker
Amy is a content design and design systems consultant based in London. She's earned her stripes working on design systems for gov.uk, Babylon Health, BT, Springer Nature, and the Wellcome Trust.
