New Year’s Eve Game Night + Midnight Countdown (Dysfunctional Clubhouse)
Details
If your New Year’s Eve plan is somewhere between “I want to do something” and “I absolutely do not want to do that,” welcome home.
The Dysfunctional Clubhouse is doing a New Year’s Eve Game Night + Midnight Countdown—aka: snacks, board games, card games, party games, background chaos, and a respectful nod to time continuing to happen.
Come to play. Come to lurk. Come to sit on the couch and absorb social energy like a spooky plant.
Schedule-ish:
- Games begin / people drift in: 7:30 PM (drop in whenever)
- Countdown ritual: ~11:30 PM
- Midnight toast: 12:00 AM (we will acknowledge the year has changed and then continue being ourselves)
- Post-midnight chill: games/hangout for a bit after
Food & Drink:
We’ll have snacks and easy food. Bring something if you feel like it—zero pressure.
Alcohol is fine if you’re responsible, but please don’t drive trashed. We’ll also have non-alcoholic toast options because some of us are basically Victorian children.
Notes / Vibe:
- New people welcome. It’s an easy night to “check us out.”
- You do not have to be a gamer. Existing in a room with people counts.
- Bring a favorite game if you want—especially if it’s chaotic and teaches quickly.
Come ring in the new year with the only tradition that matters: not doing it alone unless you truly want to.
