Rebirth and Renewal Films
This Saturday, in recognition of the Easter holiday, the Dysfunctional Clubhouse will be hosting a selection of six films that explore themes of rebirth and renewal.
While Easter is an important occasion for many in our community, we also recognize and value the diversity of beliefs and backgrounds among our members. In the spirit of inclusivity and respect, we have chosen films that reflect these universal themes in a way that is welcoming to all.
We hope you will join us this Saturday for an engaging and meaningful movie experience.

The Movies

  1. The Shawshank Redemption
  2. The Fundamentals of Caring
  3. The Tree of Life
  4. Soul (2020)
  5. Big Fish
  6. The Green Mile

The vibe:
Snacks are solid, comments during movies are totally allowed, and there’s enough space to step aside and talk if the movie isn’t your cup of tea. No movie snobs. No pressure. Show up when you can, stay as long as you want.
New people are welcome — you won’t be put on the spot. Just vote, snack, and enjoy.

P.S. Timekeeping is… an aspirational concept for most of us. As a general guideline, trailers usually start around 6:30, and the first movie usually starts around 7:00. Show up whenever you want — but if you want to catch the beginning of the movie, aiming for 7:00 is a safe bet.

It's also not unheard of to throw in games, random videos, and other things before and after the 2 main movies.
