National Pet Day Movie Night: Friendly Pets, Cozy Chaos, and a Wildcard After Dark
It’s National Pet Day weekend, so Saturday night’s movie night is going a little furry.
Feel free to bring a friendly, people-social pet, though realistically this is probably best suited to dogs who do well around strangers and other animals. Our resident cats will be here too, so please use common sense: if your pet is likely to get overwhelmed, reactive, or treat this like a hostile takeover, this may be a better “bring pictures instead” kind of night.
We’ll vote on the 2 main features from this lineup (or last minute substitutes if have some good ideas):
- The Secret Life of Pets
- Cats & Dogs
- Paulie
- Bolt
- Hotel for Dogs
- Oliver & Company
So: cute animals, chaotic energy, and a respectable amount of nonsense.
You do not need to bring a pet to come. Pet photos, pet stories, and strong opinions about animal movies are also welcome.
And for the night owls, we may also do a completely optional Wildcard After Dark bonus movie after the main feature — something more twisted, unsettling, or morally questionable once the wholesome pet vibes are over.
Cute animals first. Bad decisions later.
