## Twilight Zone for the Holidays – Movie Night

It’s holiday season… but make it weird.
We’re doing a Twilight Zone–flavored holiday night: a short block of classic Twilight Zone episodes with Christmas / almost-Christmas vibes, then we’ll vote on a feature film (or two) that keeps that same “strange, funny, slightly unsettling” energy—nothing too gory, mostly fun and odd.
We’ll hang out, snack, and let the group vote on what to watch. As always, feel free to bring snacks or drinks to share, or just bring yourself and lurk on the couch.

### Twilight Zone Episode Block (we’ll pick a few)

• “The Night of the Meek”
A down-on-his-luck department store Santa stumbles into a very Twilight Zone version of a Christmas miracle.
• “The Changing of the Guard”
An aging teacher, forced into retirement on Christmas Eve, gets a haunting visit from former students who may or may not be exactly… alive.
• “Five Characters in Search of an Exit”
A soldier, a clown, a ballerina, a bagpiper, and a hobo wake up trapped together with no idea where they are. Existential holiday-toy energy.
• “The After Hours”
A woman goes to a department store for a simple purchase and finds out the mannequins have their own rules after closing time.
(We’ll start the night with a small set of episodes from this list, depending on time and crowd energy.)

### Feature Film Vote – Weird Holiday Vibes

From there we’ll vote on one or two movies from this list:
• Gremlins
Small-town Christmas goes off the rails when cute creatures turn into chaotic little monsters. Funny, weird, and very Twilight Zone at heart.
• Krampus
A dysfunctional family gets a visit from the darker side of holiday folklore. Creepy but more fun than gory, with a strong “morality tale” vibe.
• The Nightmare Before Christmas
Jack Skellington discovers Christmas and decides to improve it… badly. Perfect crossover of spooky and festive.
• Scrooged
A cynical TV executive gets visited by ghosts in a wild, meta remake of A Christmas Carol. Dark comedy, lots of surreal moments.
• Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale
Finnish kids discover that the “real” Santa Claus is not exactly jolly. Strange, fairy-tale energy with a Twilight Zone twist.
We’ll introduce the options, do a quick vote, and let the group decide what we actually watch.
