Design Workshop: Collaborative design for agile teams & lean organizations

Details
Hi there!
Could you relate to "I work on cross-functional teams where people from business, technology, and design mill about and barely speak the same language with less and less time to do more and more. It doesn't matter how close we get because the direction always changes and the deadline never moves?". If so, you wouldn't want to miss this Design Workshop.
DT&I, HUXPA, and HPC are honored to have the distinguished guest Austin Govella share his experiences in this special event that will give you hands-on experience in Collaborative product design processes.
Austin Govella has built products and services for some of the world’s largest organizations, including global industry leaders like ExxonMobil, Comcast, Verizon Wireless, Ashley Furniture, and The World Bank. His experience includes omnichannel marketing and commerce, employee experience, and product development. As an experienced facilitator with over 15 years of experience, he leverages a collaborative design approach with clients and specializes in facilitating design thinking, product management, design sprints, and Agile methodologies.
This workshop will focus on the concepts of mindful collaboration with the goal of building trust within the team. The presentation and activities are targeted towards letting you develop the concepts of design in cross-functional team scenarios.
You will learn the following workshop/collaborative activities:
- Future state vision, is an activity that provides a quick understanding of the current landscape before aligning around opportunities for change
- 4-corners sketching, a collaborative design activity that gets the entire team on the same page about what to design and why
You will also learn tips and tricks to improve your facilitation skills. There is a lot more that is included in Austin's book "Collaborative Product Design". You might get a chance to get the signed copy from the man himself.
This would be an activity-based workshop, so bring your curiosity, creativity, energy, and enthusiasm to learn!
