What we’re about
A community of people interested in contributing more to protecting democracy, European values - our future - by helping to build the next "Made in Europe" defence technologies in any shape, way, or form.
This is for doers, hackers, developers, founders, tinkerers, engineers, builders - people of all sorts - to meet and find the people you need to build it with yourself, find other ways to contribute like joining the defence industry, find real actual problems and needs to build solutions for to make an actual impact.
In short, the goal is to gather like-minded people to form a community where you'll find whatever you need to get involved - and once you’ve gotten involved, to serve you as a place for help and inspiration to help keep you going.
May it also serve in its very modest way to help make building defence technology in Europe - for Europe and our allies - gain the attention, recognition, and urgency it needs.
And get in touch if you want to start a Defence Tech Meetup yourself more near to you. This Meetup is an idea, it is not about specific people or places. The more, the merrier. Consider it all open source and free – take it and run with it: And we're happy to share this platform, our resources and contacts, help you set it up and get it going in your community.

None for now. The very minimum fee may be introduced later as a filter.
PRIVACY
Why the “secret” group settings on Meetup dot com? As defence may (still) be a touchy subject depending where you are based, it’s fair to protect members from advertising themselves as members publicly: Only members can see the other members of the group.
WHERE
Started in the traditional defence industry town of Düsseldorf, Germany 2025. But as this is more about an an idea and not a location, do get in touch if you want to organise a Defence Tech Meetup in your community in any region or country - and let's make it happen! This circus needs to travel.
