The next Dub|Sec meetup will take place in the Abbey Room of the Camden Court Hotel on July 29, 2026.

We'll be there from 6.30pm. Our first speaker will start at around 7pm.

19:00 - Talk 1: Early Career hiring - Reflections and a Proposal by Owen O'Connor
The Irish cybersecurity job market has shifted significantly, with almost no early-career or junior roles but a huge supply of candidates. This talk will look at the potential for medium to long-term improvement and how junior hiring could be encouraged.
This is a hard problem without obvious fixes, so Owen will draw from areas as diverse as soccer, fine art, and tech sovereignty to try assembling a solution.
