The next Dub|Sec meetup will take place in the Abbey Room of the Camden Court Hotel on Tuesday 25 August, 2026.

19:00 - Talk 1: Cyber Deterrence - Being One Step Ahead of Cyber Attacks by Mahesh Deshpande
Cyber Threats cost the global economy around €5 Trillion a year with the average cost of a security incident being around €4.5 Million. With the advent of GenAI and corporate-like structure in the cyber criminal world, what are the ways to Deter Cyber Criminals from attacking you and your brand? Mahesh will explore the current global cyber security ecosystem and what the future holds in Cybersecurity along with a few measures that can be helpful to the keen audience to be one step ahead of cyber criminals.

19:40 - Talk 2: I Broke My Cloud By Talking To It — Here's What I Learned by Arnav Tripathy
This talk is two things. First, a live demo of KubeConfess finding real misconfigurations in a real cluster. Second, a practical walkthrough of exactly how it's built, so you can go home and build something similar for your own infrastructure problem.
Arnav will walk us through every layer of building a cloud native AI agent from scratch — connecting to live infrastructure, pulling real system state, and structuring it so an LLM can actually reason over it correctly. He'll cover the conversational loop, how to design a clean tool layer, and how to keep the whole thing extensible without overengineering it from day one.
