Dubai Jazz Musicians will be inviting a fine musician who has been performing Japanese fine arts of dance, Nihon Buyo with a traditional Japanese instrument, Shamisen. Dubai Jazz Musicians are performing Jazz tunes on top of Mr. Senju Einojo's solo performance.
Mr. Senju Einojo will be performing a real Japanese songs from Edo era which sounds new to all of you, but sounds Japanese. We will experiment how Shamisen and Jazz could be mixed together and deliver you a new experience. Musician Profile - Senju Einojo, Second master iemoto of the
Senju style dance school Representative of the
Senju dance company. In 1976, he studied with the first iemoto master,
Wakanojô Senju. After a while, he began teaching traditional Japanese dance. In 1999, he became the second iemoto master of the Senju
style dance school. From 2002 to 2009, he taught
Fine Arts part-time at Osaka University of Health
and Sports. In 2016, he became a visiting
professor at Mindanao Kokusai Daigaku
University (MKD) in the Philippines. He will be
joining Japan Festival in Dubai 2023.
Dubai Jazz Musicians : Keyboard, Drums, and Bass will accompany Shamisen.
