Dubai is a wonderful multicultural and cosmopolitan city. We love to be in this cultural mix but often feel the need to hang out with like minded people from the west who share life experiences, culture and beliefs. This is a group for western expats only of all ages. Western in this context is not intended to be a racial grouping but a cultural one. People of all colours, races, religions are very welcome as long as they can demonstrate that they are culturally western. Please apply to join this group and provide a clear photo and answer our questions. You will not be approved to join the group if you do not meet the criteria below, or do not provide a photo or do not answer our questions.
Western Expats for the purpose of this group are defined as:
1) You have a passport from a western country - Europe/North America/South America/Austrialia/New Zealand/South Africa/Other
2) You have lived or studied for more than 2 years in any of the countries/regions above.
The intent is to arrange social meetups - Drinks, Brunches, Club nights, Dinners, Cruises, Treks, Holidays etc regularly so that like minded people can socialise, share experiences and meet the challenge of being an expat in the city.
Please also be aware that at some stage it will become necessary to ask members to contribute to the operation of this group either through membership or event fees. These will be nominal but are necessary.
