Ice climbing is a core skill for every mountaineer.
Using ice axes and crampons are the basics — you just need to know them.

Join me for a 4-day, 4-night winter adventure in the Caucasus mountains of Georgia, where we train with certified instructors and climb real natural ice walls in the stunning region of Kazbegi.

# ITINERARY

5 FEB | Arrival in Tbilisi → Transfer to Kazbegi

Arrive at Tbilisi International Airport at 16:00.
Meet your Mountain Meets Sea travel companion.
From here, begin the scenic drive to Kazbegi.
Check-in to your hotel and enjoy a relaxed evening
surrounded by the Caucasus mountains. Overnight

### 6 FEB| Gear Check + First Ice Climbing Session

Assemble at the hotel at 9:30 am for a briefing session, where your
guides will check your clothing, gear, and equipment to ensure
safety and comfort. Proceed to the ice climbing location; from the
parking area, enjoy a 40-minutes scenic hike to the ice wall. Your
instructor will provide safety guidelines and basic techniques,
followed by your first practical climbing experience .By around
17:00, finish the session and return to the hotel.

7 FEB | Full-Day Ice Climbing

At 10:00, drive to the ice climbing spot for a fullday
session.Practice climbing techniques, improve
your grip and movement under expert
supervision.Wrap up the activity around 17:00 and
return to your hotel for a warm, relaxing evening.

8 FEB | Final Climbing Session → Return to Tbilisi

Checkout from the hotel - Followed by a short drive to your final
climbing spot at 10:00.Continue practicing advanced techniques
and enjoy your final climbs. Around 15:00, finish the session and
drive back to Tbilisi. Enjoy an enroute stop for dinner before
checking in to your Tbilisi hotel. Overnight stay in Tbilisi.

9 FEB| Tbilisi City Tour → Departure

After breakfast, Check-Out from the hotel proceed for a Tbilisi city tour,
exploring key attractions such as the Old Town, Peace Bridge, Narikala
fort and local markets. After sightseeing, you will be transferred to the
airport for your departure flight.

Clothing:
Base layers, mid-layer fleece/puffer, waterproof outer shell (jacket + pants), down jacket, climbing gloves + spare, liner gloves, beanie, buff, warm socks.
Accessories:
Sunglasses (Cat 3 or glacier), SPF 50 sunscreen, lip balm, water bottle, thermos, snacks, personal meds, hand warmers (optional).
Backpack Essentials:
Daypack 30–40L, rain cover, first-aid kit, hiking pole.
