Come for the doughnuts but stay for the maths.
We will have 3 speakers, each will have the floor for 20 minutes to talk about a topic in applied mathematics.
Professor Andrew Parnell from UCD's school of mathematics & statistics will talk about how fast sea levels are rising.
Dr Cathal O'Donovan will talk about Random Forests. He will explain the design and applicability of one of the most useful tools in prediction.
Dr Donal O'Donoghue will give a brief overview of quant equity investing.
