Cassandra 2.1 with Jon Haddad

Hi Everyone,

We will have our Christmas Party / Meetup on the 9th of December in the ICS. The main topic for the evening will be Cassandra 2.1: new features and performance improvements! This will be delivered by Cassandra Evangelist Jon Haddad. He will also be doing a piece on using Cassandra with the python driver.

Our other speaker David Tracey from LogEntries, he will be giving us some insights into the use of C* at LogEntries and their experiences using Cassandra with log data in the Cloud.

Jon's Bio:

"Jon worked at various startups in the LA area before coming to DataStax in June as a Technical Evangelist. He's a committer to cqlengine, the Python object mapper for Cassandra, as well as ipython-cql, the plugin for integration of IPython (notebook) with Cassandra."
