Nginx, and more

Good day to all of our friends, I hope you are good and had an excellent summer.

We have for you a brand new DevOps Meet-Up getting ready for the 30th of October.

For this meeting the keynote speaker would be coming from out friends in Nginx bringing an interesting talk (and swag).

If you want to present something, please get in touch with me, we are still accepting submissions as speaker.

The location is at the Zendesk EMEA HQ, lovely place, fairly central along side the canal, at 55 Charlemont Pl, Saint Kevin's, Dublin, D02 F985.

Talks are scheduled to start at 6:30pm sharp. Venue doors will be open from ~ 6pm so everyone can make it on time and you start socializing and get in the mood.

We will discuss how solutions like NGINX Unit, NGINX Core, and NGINX Plus enable you to use any strategy you prefer to deliver truly dynamic, organic applications.

#2 Jorge Dionisio, Senior DevOps Team Lead at mAdme Technologies Limited will present:

How to scale your app to millions of requests

In this presentation the audience will learn best practices on how to scale application to millions of clients, how to scale app nodes, database nodes and other microservices, and will hear first hand my experiences on working with large number of clients doing requests to a cloud architecture.

#3 Sven Nebel, Open source enthusiast and contributor will present:

watches for k8s resource changes and trigger chains of handlers, don't miss a single change to your k8s manifests with kwatchman.

This is a light talk explaining what kubernetes informers are, how to use them to build tooling around kubernetes and more specifically how they were used to build kwatchman.
