🎙 Co-Hosted with Conor

Not a lecture. Not tea. A long Irish meal and an interactive discussion.

Join us for a shared conversation on Irish history, focusing on land, language, resistance, and resilience. This is participatory, informal, and shaped by the group — stories, questions, reflections, and the odd disagreement all welcome.

We’ll explore:
• Why land in Ireland was never neutral
• How language became identity and resistance
• Resistance in everyday and organised forms
• Resilience as something slow, collective, and deeply practical

We’ll:
• Untangle myth from lived reality (without killing the poetry)
• Look at how ordinary people navigated extraordinary pressures
• Ask why these histories still show up in language, land debates, and national mood
• Acknowledge that humour has always been one of Ireland’s survival tools

There will be storytelling, discussion, mild irreverence, and a respectful refusal to oversimplify.
