Bullys Acre Cemetery Tour, Royal Hospital, Kilmainham

A tour through the cemeteries of the Royal Hospital discussing death, mourning and burial rites during its long history.
Covering 1,500 years of history this tour explores the Royal Hospital, it's history and relationship with the local community through the three cemeteries on site. Covering monks, soldiers, veterans and body snatchers.

Meeting Place:
The meeting spot is the entrance to Bully"s Acre in the grounds of the Royal Hospital. This is situated a short walk up the western avenue entrance, beside the fields of the Royal Hospital. Western entrance is off South Circular Road.
Please meet outside here at 1.40pm.
The guides will meet here at 1.55pm.

Please note that due to the ground being uneven and grassy, those with mobility issues may not find it accessible.

Please only RSVP if you are interested in going.
Do Not stay on the Going List or the Waiting List if you have made other plans.

As with all Meetups, do not rely on the Meetup maps. It is the responsibility for all going to ensure they know the location of the Meeting Place and venue a few days in advance of the Meetup.
