Come join me as we venture on a guided tour of the Crypt of St. Mary's Pro-Cathedral in Dublin.
It serves as the burial place for Roman Catholic Archbishops of Dublin, with a history spanning over 100 years. It notably houses the remains of Cardinal Paul Cullen, who died in 1878 and was moved to the Pro-Cathedral following the sale of Clonliffe College in 2021.

Location: The Pro-Cathedral is located on Marlborough Street in Dublin city centre
Cost: I will collect €10 per person before the tour.
Meeting: Outside its front doors at 2.50pm.
Time of tour: 3.15pm -4.30pm
While the cathedral was built as a 'temporary' arrangement in 1825, the crypt functions as a permanent resting place for prominent Dublin clergy.
The crypt at St. Mary's Pro-Cathedral is distinct from the tourist-accessible crypts at St.Michan's Church or Christ Church Cathedral, focusing primarily on clerical burial and other surprising tombs and vaults.

Please only RSVP if you are free on this date.
Please wear appropriate footwear.
The Crypt is not suitable for people with mobility issues due to its uneven ground in parts inside.
Members are responsibile for their own Health & Safety

I look forward to seeing you there
