Qigong Workshop in Herbert Park - May 18

Details

I am welcoming you to a Qigong workshop that is taking place on the 18th of May at 1pm - 2.30pm in Herbert park in Dublin.

What is actually Qigong? If you practiced yoga, you may be already aware of its beautiful qualities of bringing holistic health benefits such as a sense of peace, clarity and harmony to our body and mind, and qigong as an ancient Chinese practice has a similar effect on our health, helping bring a sense of unity and deeper connection within ourselves and with the world.

There are different types of Qigong, and I am teaching health Qi Gong that is meant for healing, maintaining inner balance and inner peace, strengthening immune system. Qigong practice is also called meditation in motion that involves slow-flowing movements, deep breathing and a calm meditative state of mind. With roots in Chinese medicine and martial arts, Qigong is viewed as a practice to cultivate and balance Qi energy, the life-energy.

Qi means air, breath, 'vital energy'. Gong means skill, mastery, achievement, service, accomplishment. Qi + Gong combined together are meant to cultivate and balance life energy for your health and wellbeing.

These are the most common benefits of qigong, it helps:

  • balance and harmonize the energy,
  • restore and renew the energy,
  • bring bigger focus and clarity to the mind,
  • calm down the nervous system,
  • awaken creativity,
  • bring a sense of groundedness,
  • develop inner confidence,
  • bring a sense of inner peace

“Every breath we take, every step we make, can be filled with peace, joy and serenity.” —Thich Nhat Hanh

I am looking forward to seeing you at our class and I will share all the details when you register.

Warm wishes,
Ekaterina
