Welcome to Aprils meetup! We're delighted to welcome Claudio Procida and Adam Kelly presenting at this months meetup.

First Speaker:

Claudio Procida is a fullstack software developer, passionate about UX, accessibility, user-centric design, and the decentralized web, currently working in Production Engineering at Facebook to develop awesome user experiences in the Datacenter monitoring space. Claudio is also an advocate of a supportive and inclusive culture in tech. He recently became a mentor of Nodeschool Dublin, where he helps newcomers move their first steps into Node.

Talk Title:
Managing your Node dependencies at scale with yarn

Talk Intro:

Managing dependencies is a hard problem. This talk will cover the Node philosophy of dependencies, dive into dependency and package management, semantic versioning, version collisions, the role of npm in the success of Node, the advent of yarn, the advantages over npm, and its powerful features to manage large Node projects.

Second Speaker:
Adam is Node.js Dublin's youngest speaker!
Adam started using Node 2 years ago, and now uses it every day, alongside C++ and Rust. He loves math, kayaking, computers and his dog Dave.

Talk Title:
Write You A Static Site Generator

Talk Intro:

The JAM stack has become a popular way of developing sites. In this talk, Adam will go through the process of building a static site generator. He will talk about the choices to make when designing your own, why NodeJS is well suited for this, and will cover actually writing one in the talk. Lastly, he will discuss the current state of the JAM stack, and when you should think about using it.
