What we’re about
A warm welcome to men and women who enjoy the outdoors. Breathe in the beauty of the Malahide coastline and the luxuriant landscape of expansive parkland. All within easy access of Malahide Train Station. Enjoy a drink in the wide choice of bars or just sip a coffee in a host of outlets in the village. If photography is your thing or bird-watching fascinates you or you simply enjoy being in a scenic environment then this group could be for you!
Genaral Group Information
- Just to let you all know that I intend to keep the group membership below 150, currently 127 while keeping it a public group. The reason is that I want to retain a cosy ethos within the larger group
- Due to the significant number of 'no shows' for events, from 01 August 2025, 3 consecutive 'no show' for a member will result in end of group membership
- Furthermore, if a member remains inactive in terms of attending events or participating in any group discussions that may or may not arise, they will be removed from the group after a period of 6 months of total inactivity
- Any photographs submitted to Dublin Outdoor Lovers Malahide remain the property of the photographer. If used to promote an event the photographer will be acknowledged. If you do not wish your photographs to be used to promote our events please do say so at time of submission and your wish will be respected
- As an event participant, you may find that you are included in an image submitted by a photographer. If you do not wish your image to be published on Meetup, Flickr or any other relevant site, please do let me know by sending me a photograph of yourself so that I can check all images submitted and delete if necessary.
- To participate in a group event, it is understood that each member is responsible for themselves, their camera & any accessories for the duration of the event.
- The meeting point for every Malahide based event is The Mermaid Statue in the Marina. While light allows, the meeting time is 1900 hours on a Thursday. We will wait until 1910 hours.
- The pub is Fowler's New Street.
