Coastal Walk from Malahide Village to Portmarnock Beach

Details
Meeting Place: The Mermaid Statue, Malahide Marina 1900h
This is a scenic walk with much of it along the coastal path to Portmarnock Beach. We are close to the sea without being on the sand. Lambay Island can be viewed for most of the way with Ireland's Eye and Howth visible as we approach Portmarnock Beach. A rich variety of bird life is on show with camorants often sighted on the rocks as we approach the beach.
The duration of the return walk is approximately one hour and forty minutes. The terrain is easy. Feel free to bring your camera along.
Depending on weather conditions, rain gear is a handy accessory together with comfortable walking shoes.
Afterwards we visit our local watering hole - Fowler's Bar, New Street, Malahide.
