Dublin Canal Cleanup (Meet new people & get outdoors)

Kick off the New Year by doing something positive and meeting new people. This is a voluntary cleanup organized by Alternative Dublin. We do this event every year!

We are looking for volunteers to come help us clean up the canal Sunday at 11am.

Meet new people and do something different on your Sunday morning. We are expecting 20-30 people and plan to have this as a social event and volunteering.

We will be meeting at Portobello Canal at 11am and heading in both directions. The meeting point is outside Atlas Language School. If your planning to come please register for a ticket so we can prep supplies.

The idea of this meetup isn't just to clean the area after one session, it's to raise awareness about leaving your waste behind. How it affects others, it's to start a conversation about how the amount of waste increases everywhere as people stop caring during festive (and sunny) periods.

We believe if people see others giving up their time to clean up - they are less likely to do it.
Our message is clear 'don't be that person'

TIME: 11am-1.30pm
LOCATION: Portobello (front of Atlas language school)
NEEDED: If you have spare black bags, gloves, sweeper & scoop please bring them. (we will buy some so don't worry)
