Dublin Scottish Country Dance Club

Scottish country dancing is a type of folk dance that is danced in sets of 6 or 8 people. There are three types of dances: jigs and reels, which are fast, and strathspeys, which are slow and are unique to Scottish country dancing.

Partner: None required as we rotate partners for each set.
Dance Experience: None. All levels welcome from beginner to advanced.
Age: 18+
Cost: First two classes are free! After that it’s €5 per class.
What to bring/wear: wear soft shoes with a grip sole (or ballet flats), comfortable clothes to dance in, bottle of water.
Where: Dún Laoghaire Presbyterian Church Hall (ample parking on site, 46A bus stop directly outside, 15 minute walk to the DART)
When: Thursday evenings 20:15-22:15. Tea and cake served at the break at 21:15.
