Full Moon Rising over Custom House dome

Take a picture of the Full Moon* rising over the famous green dome in downtown Dublin.

Okay, our first event was going to be Poolbeg Stacks on 25 January, but so many people have signed up that I've decided to offer this one as a "spillover" event to accommodate some of those waiting. Come join us on Hawkins Street and the Rosie Hackett Bridge right in downtown Dublin. Your bus is…nearly any bus you like! The Luas line actually crosses this bridge.

Absolutely any camera will do, even a smartphone. You may prefer the results you get with a 150mm+ telephoto lens, if you have the option.

We will be standing on a pedestrian bridge from 4:30–5:15PM, so please be mindful of cyclists and people trying to leave work. I don't want anything (or anyone) getting knocked over.

Irish weather is…very Irish. Please check the weather report and look up for clouds before you head over. If you cannot see blue sky, you will not be able to see the moon!

*the full moon will be 25 January. On 24 January, the moon will be at 94% full. I won't tell if you won't!
