Wake up your learning brain with Francesco Bianchi & Ana Mandić

Details

Brains are lazy organs.

They are not like that on purpose just because they are naughty but because that’s a survival mechanism. In fact they are so powerful that if used at full capacity all the time they would use more calories than one could ever possibly ingest.

And so overtime evolution has rewarded behaviours of the brain that allow it to save energy. That involves resistance to change. And learning is changing.

So we are naturally resistant to learn, unless we can trick our brain.

The lucky part is that in the domain of Learning these tricks are simple and can lead to an experience that is much more gratifying than the standard boring lectures we have typically used to.

In this workshop Ana will help us uncover how we can re-design our training classes so that they can reach also the laziest of brains. She will give the basics of a model based on science, enough to then let us try it out on a topic of our choice.

In parallel Francesco will capture visually all the concepts covered so that the experience can be as personalised as possible.
