Hello TEDheads!

Have you ever made a logical decision that you deep down knew was wrong? Maybe, like me, you've thought, 'I should've trusted that feeling', but the consequences of ignoring your gut have caught up with you. You somehow knew.

Perhaps this is just confirmation bias in action or perhaps we have evolved to pick up on cues subconsciously. Whatever your perspective, this is sure to be a great conversation.

What role does intuition play in your decisions? Do you trust your intuition or discount it because it isn't logical? How do we tap in to the power of intuition and learn to trust it?

Let's explore together.

Please watch the following TED talk and read the article on your own device before the event.

# ★ Talk #1: Accessing intuition as a tool: your internal guidance system

Intuition is the most powerful tool that every single one of us has for our own personal development and for our resilience as a global community. Jannine shares the three levels of intuition. Level 1 is all about instinct or 'having a hunch'. Level 2 considers inspiration and Level 3 is about trust. Finally, how do we cultivate intuition?

# ★ Resource # 2: The Science of Intuition

How the body translates unconscious information into gut instinct.

### Key Points

  • Our bodily instincts contain important information that can help us rapidly process the outside world.
  • By tuning into these channels of information, we're better able to make centered decisions.
  • It is essential for all of us to foster our own centeredness, self-awareness, and intuition at this moment in history.
