A Morning Walk with Mr Bloom.

Details
After breakfast on June 16th 1904, Mr Leopold Bloom sets out on his day. He does not know that he is Ulysses and that this date will be named after him.
In this episode, called “Lotuseaters” by Joyce, many of the motifs of the novel are introduced as Mr Bloom walks in the city doing chores.
The walk will start at Samuel Beckett bridge and we will use the location to talk about the relationship between Ireland’s two great modernist writers: Joyce and Beckett.
We will then retrace Mr Bloom’s steps and encounters as he begins his long day in earnest.
There is a €10 fee for this tour which is payable via the app.
It can also be paid by Revolut or by cash on the day; send me a message if you want to be included on the attendee list.
