Hey all,

We have 3 really great talks for you this month and a special new venue! We're still in the Intercom offices but the new room will allow us to have even more people join us, so tell your friends to come along.

Data Visualisation with Deck.GL - Ramona Biscoveanu
Deck.gl is a JavaScript visualization library designed to make WebGL-based visualization simple and interactive.
It can be used to build 3D geospatial data visualization and it also gives us new ways to explore and interact with our data sets.

When we separate our concept of deployment into two distinct phases - physical shipping of code to servers and making that code available to users - we unlock a few powerful capabilities.
Aaron is going to take a dive into the Lightning Deployment strategy and the killer features that this slight mindset shift in deploying unlocks such as previewing pull requests in production and lightning fast rollback/forward.

End to end testing with Cypress.io - John Craddock
Last Summer Adaptemy changed their end-to-end test framework from Selenium to Cypress.io. John will talk through the reasons for the change and the advantages and disadvantages of each framework.
John will discuss the role of end-to-end tests in Adaptemy's testing strategy. John will describe some techniques to make your e2e tests faster and more robust. Finally, he will describe the benefits a robust set of e2e tests bring to your codebase.
John will be describing e2e testing from the perspective of a small (two person) development team. The discussion will be particularly useful to other small teams or to teams starting out with e2e testing.
