We are back for our 3rd In-Person event. At this session we are delighted to have two speakers to share some great content with you. See below for that's in store!
First Session
Speaker: Joe Rossouw
Title: Regression Analysis in Power BI using LINEST and LINESTX
Summary:
The session will provide a basic overview in regression analysis and potential use cases within Power BI reports. The new DAX function LINEST to generate statistics which would then be used to estimate relationships and to make predictions.
We will demonstrate how numeric parameters may be used to predict values as well as how to calculate p values to assess the significance of relationships.
Second Session
Speaker: Daniel Scott
Title: Hit it off with Power BI dataflow incremental refreshes
Summary: In this session we start with an introduction of dataflows, showing you what they are and how they work. Then demonstrating how incremental refresh can vastly improve refresh times for larger tables.
By learning when and how to use incremental refresh, you can intelligently partition large volumes of data into smaller chunks and refresh only what you need.
Complete the data refresh optimisation journey by finding out the critical success factors that enable incremental refresh in your Power BI dataset too.
This session is demo rich and you’ll see first-hand how much faster we can load a 10 million row table into a Power BI solution.
