Open Day - Try Dragon Boat Paddling

Dublin Vikings are a competitive Dragon boat racing club based in Grand Canal Dock in Dublin. We train every week and take part in regattas around Ireland. Our Saturday morning training is suitable for those who are new to the sport as well as experienced paddlers. We do have a social side too and go for coffee or lunch nearby after paddling.

We provide paddles and buoyancy aids and will give you a safety briefing before you go out on the water. Our coaches and experienced paddlers will guide you through the technique of paddling our 20 person boat. Hopefully we can give you a taste of Dragon boat racing.

This is an outdoor water sport, please wear appropriate clothes for a physical activity. Paddlers should have a basic level of fitness and be aware that they accept the risks involved in this activity.
