The paragliding Developer Advocate who took a 10 year break in her tech career - Karin Huaulme
Karen will share with us how it is possible to return to a tech career after 10 years of absence (parental leave). As an employee at MongoDB she is passionate about coding and knowledge sharing and participates in several conferences around, and maybe she can give us some tips on how to become a speaker? The ups and downs of being a female system developer is also a topic close to Karen's heart.
Bio: Karen works as a Principal Developer Advocate and software engineer at MongoDB. Prior to MongoDB, Karen spent most of her career working with video game developers as a Solutions Architect and Integration Engineer at Nvidia, Amazon and Twitch - but she took an almost 10 year mommy break in the middle of all of it. Fun fact : Karen paraglides every chance she gets with flights all around the world - and she hopes to add Sweden to her list this weekend!!
