Art Exhibition Opening Reception - duCret Center of Art
Details
As we reach the close of 2025, we also come to the end of our 99th year at duCret. It is a moment that invites reflection and pride as we step into our 100th year and the beginning of a new chapter. To close out this year, we invite you to join us for the opening reception of our final two exhibitions of 2025.
"Within These Walls" celebrates the artists who guide, mentor and inspire our community every day. This exhibition brings together the work of our duCret instructors and the artists in residence who have their studios here. Their creativity fills our classrooms and hallways, and this show offers a rare chance to experience the depth of artistry that lives and grows within the walls of the duCret Center of Art.
"People, Places and Things" features the work of Plainfield artist Virginia Carroll. Her paintings explore people, the spaces they move through and the moments and objects they hold close. Her work invites viewers to slow down and see the familiar with new appreciation.
We hope you will join us on Saturday, December 6 from 3 to 5 PM as we celebrate the opening of these two exhibitions and the spirit of art that has carried duCret forward for nearly a century. Both shows will remain on view through the end of December.
