What we’re about
Join our Düsselgamers discord: https://discord.gg/bJZwbjStGn – if you are enthusiastic about playing board games, (trading) card games, role playing games, or any other kinds of games, and you would like to meet other people who enjoy it too, join our events!
You are invited to sign up (RSVP) for any of the events posted here. Most events have more of an English-speaking crowd, though some are more German-focused - usually you can tell by the title and description of the event. If you don't speak any German at all, you'll still be welcome, just let the people at the event know!
Feel free to make your own events – any group member can schedule an event. If you are playing in a public space (e.g. a restaurant), just make sure that you reserve a table and that the staff is OK with games being played :)
If you have any questions, feel free to contact the (co-)organizers.
If you want to learn more about the community, visit our website.
Channel your inner divinity and join our roleplaying jam, taking place at the church Jugendkirche (Kruppstraße 13)! This event is aimed at both seasoned adventurers and inexperienced newcomers to connect, gain XP, and possibly even find a potential campaign for a pen & paper roleplaying group.
No matter if you are completely new to roleplaying games such as Dungeons & Dragons, Call of Cthulhu, World of Darkness etc. and would like to just see whether this is something you would enjoy - or if you're an avid roleplayer itching to find a new group or to test a new system - you are most welcome to join!
This particular event is sponsored by Chaosium, so time there will be extra chances to try out Call of Cthulhu and Pendragon! As part of this sponsorship, all attendees will get a discount code for the Chaosium online store.
Finding people you vibe with is never more important than when committing to join a roleplaying campaign, and finding the right people can be a challenge - which is why we established this event for exactly this purpose.
(Approximate) Event Schedule:
👋 13:00: While we wait for people to arrive, you'll have the chance to chat with GMs (recognizable by their distinct name badges) and other attendees and familiarize yourself with the place.
🤝 13:10: After some welcome words, we will have a structured networking, in which you'll meet fellow gamers and get to know each other.
🗨️ 13:25(ish): The GMs hosting games at this event will give short, 1-minute pitches and afterwards we'll do the table assignment. For this particular event, more information on some of the offered adventures can be found on our website ➡️ https://duesselgamers.de/events/roleplaying-jam-6/
🎭 13:35(ish): Let the games begin! Join your assigned group and start playing the mini one-shot adventure that your GM prepared.
💃 17:00(ish) - open end: Want to socialize more? Order food? Play board games? Even play another adventure? There's time and space for all of these!
If you have any questions you are welcome to join the discussion in the #role-playing-games channel on the Düsselgamers Discord Server: https://discord.gg/8hgXzCX9Hm
Important:
- Due to the timing, needless to say it's fairly important that you'll arrive on time. Don't be late, otherwise you might miss your chance to actually get a group to play.
- Food and drinks are allowed. Drinks are available for purchase from the church for a low price. There will be some free snacks, you are welcome to bring more. You're free to order food to the church as well.
- Adventures usually contain very mature themes, and are NOT suitable for children.
- While dogs are allowed, please talk to Marie about it before you consider bringing your dog.
We are looking forward to going on an adventure together!

See all- Blood on the Rhinetower (BotC) @Brot und Spielen, am Wehrhahn 41Brot und Spielen, Düsseldorf
This is a biweekly meetup at Brot & Spielen, am Wehrhahn 41, starting at 19:00.
We exclusively play the hit social deduction game "Blood on the Clocktower" (BotC).We have a core group of established players, so attendance will be higher than Meetup indicates.
We're always happy to have new or experienced players join and are very welcoming ;)
We play a wide variety of Scripts (sets of Characters), so expect something different every time, but we're always happy to fall back to simpler sets if we have new players joining.
FAQS:
What's Blood on the Clocktower?
"Blood on the Clocktower" is a social deduction game, very much like "Mafia" or "Werwolves", but with a spin that tries to get rid of some of the problems with these games.
If you would like to know more, the Review by Shut up & Sit down and the official How to Play are great places to start. There are also tons of recorded live and online games on youtube and twitch.
The official wiki has all official scripts and characters, as well as a lot of general play advice. Are there fees?
There is a 5€ minimum consumption. Please, wehn you arrive, tell the person at the counter that you are there for Clocktower and recieve your card. How do I find you?
We're playing in the back part of the Cafe, please when arriving, let the staff know that you are there for the event, and they will guide you to us.Do I have to know the game before joining?
No, we're always happy to teach you and help you along. However, if you wish to prepare yourself, things will move along a bit quicker. Is there a limit on attendance?
The game allows for up to 20 players. But we will be running multiple groups with at least one focused on Beginner players.Which language do you play in?
We often have players that speak no or little German, so at least the public parts of the game will be run in English as a default. How long is the game?
Most games run between 1 and 2.5 hours, depending on script and player count. On most evenings we'll play 2 games. Can I join "late" / leave early?
Yes, there are special rules in the game to allow for that. Just let us know if you might have to leave early and you'll be fine.
However the game is much better if you play it fully :)
