Diverse Minds Book Club
Details
The Diverse Minds Book Club is a monthly community space to explore lived experiences across diversity dimensions—through storytelling, research, and reflection—while building empathy, awareness, and inclusive leadership.
This Diverse Minds Book Club is less about “finishing books” and more about expanding your way of thinking.
Each quarter, we’ll read one book that explores lived experiences across our community—neurodiversity, accessibility, LGBTQ+, women in tech, and more.
Come as you are, read what you can, and bring your perspective. The goal isn’t perfection—it’s awareness, empathy, and maybe a few moments of “oh… I hadn’t thought about it that way.”
This month's meeting will be August 12, 2026 at 8:00am PT.
Our current book is Race After Technology by Ruha Benjamin. We'll start with understanding the problem the book presents by discussing the Introduction (The New Jim Code) + Chapter 1 (Engineered Inequity).
