Hairspray - the Musical!

Chuck and Tom are headed to the theater—and you’re invited! Join your DT friends for a special Saturday matinee of Hairspray, the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical full of laughter, heart, and toe-tapping music.

We’re especially excited to cheer on DTs own Michael Barret Jones, aka Witti Repartee, in the role of Edna Turnblad!

Want to sit with the group? Be sure to get your own ticket in advance and meet us at the venue no later than 1:20 PM. We’ll do our best to coordinate seating and maybe snap a group photo with some extra volume!

About the Show:

Set in 1962 Baltimore, Hairspray follows teenager Tracy Turnblad, whose dream is to dance on "The Corny Collins Show." When she makes the cut, she becomes an overnight sensation—and uses her newfound fame to fight for integration, acceptance, and love. With catchy songs like “You Can’t Stop the Beat” and “Welcome to the ’60s,” Hairspray delivers a powerful message wrapped in big hair and even bigger heart.
