What we’re about

Call to the chopsticks!

This group is for you if:

a) you love dumplings so much that you would have them for breakfast, lunch and dinner (and sometimes, also as afternoon snack)
b) you like dumplings, but you always go to the same places and would like to find new hidden gems around Melbourne where you can find these parcels of heavens called dumplings
c) your New Year's resolution was to meet new and amazingly fun people (while eating dumplings)
d) you don't know what dumplings are (REALLY?!?!?) and you would like to discover more under the guidance of some dumpling lovers.
If you identify yourself in any of the above categories, just join us. The rules are simple: we choose a place (suggestions will always be welcome), we order food to share with all the participants, we leave some room for dessert (we will pick a place together for something sweet to end the night with) and we have fun.

Dumpling Dinners and Dessert, where 3D pleasure is guaranteed!

Expected behaviours when attending functions with the group.

When attending an event, respectful behaviours are expected at all times from all members, we are all here to enjoy ourselves. This ensures that all members and participants are respected, feel welcome and at ease, safe from discrimination, sexual harassment and or bullying.

Discrimination:
Discrimination can be against the law if it is based on a person’s age, disability, race including colour, national or ethnic origin or immigrant status, gender, pregnancy, marital or relationship status or family responsibilities, sexual orientation, gender identity or intersex status.

Bullying is repeated behaviour directed towards a group or individual and creates a risk to health and safety.

Sexual harassment is unwelcome conduct of a sexual nature which makes a person feel uncomfortable, offended, humiliated, or intimidated, where that reaction is reasonable under the circumstances.
Sexual harassment can be intentional or unintentional and is NOT sexual interaction, flirtation, attraction, or friendship which is invited, mutual, or consensual.
Be aware that a single incident may amount to sexual harassment depending on the circumstances.

Summary
Discrimination, any form of harassment or bullying has the potential to harm a person
psychologically and physically. Certain types of behaviour are against the law.
If your behaviours constitute any of the above, you may be subject to warnings or discontinuation from the group.
If you yourself experience or witness discrimination, sexual harassment and or bullying, if you do not feel confident or safe to speak up immediately, please ensure you report the behaviour to your host either at the time or via message through the Meetup app.
