Guest speaker Daniel James Sharp, is editor of The Freethinker, one of the world’s oldest freethought magazines (est. 1881). Come along and hear about the The Freethinker‘s storied and controversial history, its philosophy, and its place in the British and global secularist movements. If time allows, Daniel may also talk about the book he is writing about Christopher Hitchings, and may mention “New Theism”.

Daniel James Sharp is editor of The Freethinker and an independent writer who has published in Areo, Quillette, The Washington Examiner, Free Inquiry, and many other outlets. He also writes on Substack and is currently working on a book about Christopher Hitchens for Pitchstone Publishing.
