One Shot: Awakenings

It was a dreary and quiet night like any other when a meteor streaked across the skies of Faerûn from west to east, leaving a blood-red trail in its wake. As it crossed the treeline, a noise could be heard from miles around -- soft at first, but quickly building to a roar. This was two weeks ago by now. Since then, no one has dared to investigate crash site... until now, that is. Characters are level 2.
